The Sahai Family Foundation operates with a clear-eyed focus on systemic impact. We partner with organizations working at the intersection of human dignity and structural change — funding not just programs, but the people and infrastructure that sustain them.
Our grantmaking reflects a deep belief that education opens doors, healthcare preserves dignity, strong children’s programs build resilient communities, and poverty alleviation creates the conditions for everything else to flourish.
Grant Focus
Our grants are concentrated in four interconnected areas where we believe targeted, sustained investment creates the greatest multiplier effect for underserved communities.
Supporting access to quality learning from early childhood through higher education. We fund scholarships, school infrastructure, teacher training, and programs that close the opportunity gap for underserved communities.
Championing the well-being and potential of children through early childhood programs, after-school enrichment, youth mentorship, child protection services, and programs that nurture the next generation of leaders.
Expanding access to healthcare for those who need it most. Our grants support community health clinics, mental health resources, preventive care programs, and healthcare equity initiatives serving marginalized populations.
Addressing root causes and immediate needs of poverty through workforce development, food security programs, affordable housing advocacy, microfinance, and organizations working to lift families out of economic hardship.

Faye Sahai brings a deeply personal commitment to social impact and community building. Her philanthropic focus centers on ensuring that every child has access to the resources, care, and opportunities they need to thrive — regardless of the circumstances of their birth. Through the Foundation, Faye channels her passion for equity into grants that create lasting structural change in education and children’s welfare.
Principal & Co-Founder
Avanish Sahai’s career at the intersection of technology and enterprise has afforded him a unique lens on systemic change and the power of ecosystems. He applies this thinking to philanthropy — believing that the most effective grants strengthen the infrastructure of organizations working on the front lines of poverty alleviation and healthcare access. Together with Faye, he leads a grantmaking practice rooted in rigor, empathy, and long-term impact.
How We Work
We conduct deep due diligence on potential grantees, assessing organizational health, leadership quality, community relationships, and the evidence base behind their programs.
Grants are tailored to each organization’s stage and needs — from operating support to program-specific funding — with a preference for multi-year commitments that enable real planning horizons.
We see ourselves as partners, not just funders. Beyond grants, we offer our networks, expertise, and time to help the organizations we fund grow and deepen their impact.
We remain humble about what works. We learn from our grantees, refine our approach continuously, and are committed to honest reflection on where our dollars create the most good.
